The Let's Hear It For Fire Safety Song

There's not much story behind this one. I wrote it on Febuary, 9th 2000, at around 9:30, the same night I wrote the blink. I think I recorded it around the same time too. I realling liked the song "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" by the Rivingtons. I liked the way it was about something that didn't mean anything, so i decided to do something with the same theme.

At the end of the song, the girl, who is really me doing a girl voice, says "What do you think, your a surfin' bird?" This is in reference to a song called, out off all things, "Surfin' Bird" and is by a band called the Trashmen. Its an awsome song, and in the end of that song, the singer starts going "papa-oom-mow-mow," like the song by the Rivingtons. So i say that to acknolage that I know thatthis song is a bit of a rip off, but its all cool because Surfin Bird was a rip off of the same song and that song was awsome.

After the line about the surfin bird, I satrted singing papa-oom-mow-mow for a little bit, and then took the drum solo from "Whipe Out" by the Surfaris. I cut this off from the album to avoid any legal trouble.

One thing I like on this song is how the chorus, i did a bass voice, and then I had an extra track left, so i did a sub bass voice. I think thats awsome.
