One summer day in 1999, my friend's Dick, Carl and I had gone to new york to see a taping of the David Letterman Show. On the show that night were Chris Rock and Six Pents None The Richer. On the way back, we were lissening to a country music station and there was a song that went "something something boogie" where the singer would sing something something boog in a normal voice but then when he finnished with the rest of the word boogie, he did it in a high voice and held it. I thought that was awsome and started singing "do the lance romañce boogIE" with the IE in a high voice, just like he did. I did that for days, I wish i knew what the song was we were lissening to. Any hoo, I turned it around, and said "do the lance romance boog" in a high voice and then "ie" in a normal voice. Thats how I came up with the chorus. Then I thought that it was still to similer to the origional song so i needed to make it something besides boogie. I ended up with wiggle. I don't know if you notice, but under the high voce that sings the chorus, there is a monotone voice saying the same thing, which with out the chorus sounds very week. I think the delay on the lead vocals is a very nice touch. I worried about the bass line on this song because I thought it was too similer to Sexy Bowler Girl, but i think it turned just fine.
The lyrics were written on august 15th 1999, but never recorded until January of 2000 because I frequently dismissed the lyrics as being immature.
