I spend a lot of time hanging out at a stereo store in the naborhood called Stereo Discount Center. One of the tapes they have to test VCRs out with is Mrs. Doubtfire. Because I had all ready come up with the chorus, I thought in order to come up with good lyrics I should watch the movie. So I stopped by and asked if I could borrow it and they let me and so I watched it that night and brought it back the same day. I still couldn't think of lyrics. I then went to record it and just made up the lyrics as I went a long. It was VERY, VERY easy to do.
I think I recorded this song 3 times before I thought I had it. I really, really like the guitar on this tune. The drums and bass both have a heavy room reverb on them. This is natural, as I had the mic about 10 or 15 feet away maybe??? So that is not added by machine. The echo on the verse vocal IS machine added. I think this song is the most recd hot chili pepper like song on thi album, the bass line on the verse even reminds me kind of of Mellowship Slinky in B Major's guitar part on the verse. That was un intentional. Another un intentional thing is that this song is track number 3, which is the same track as Carolina, the most Red Hot Chili Pepper like song on my first record.
now mrs hillard needed some one to watch over the kids when she wasn't here
so she decided to hire a nanny to take care
but everyone she interviewed was absolutely nuts
but then along came mrs. doubtfire and her interview kicked butt
now mr daniel hillard still needed to see his kids
but no body knew that mrs doubtfire was just a mask behind which mr. daniel hillard hid
then one day every body found outed
and every body shouted
(x2):
Mrs Doubtfire
there's something wrong with you
Mrs Doubtfire
