Well, sure enough, just a few days later, I was walking home from work and I started humming the bass line, which at the time was the guitar line. So I went home and recorded the guitar line so I would remember it. Then I got ready to record it and laid down the drum track. I started playing the drum beat funny, by playing the snare where the bass drum should be and the bass drum where the snare should be, and walla you have the drums from Do The Blink. Then I recorded the bass and guitar part.
Something was still missing so I thought to myself "whats missing??" Then it hit me.
I had always wanted to record a song with whistling. I had recorded The Erectial Disfunction Song a few months earlier with whistling, but I didn't like the way thnat song turned out. Well, whistling seemed like the perfect way to fill the track, and boy was I right. Not only did it fill in the track, it made it awsome! I decided I didn't like the guitar part so I never put the guitar into any mix downs.Like many of my songs, I didn't write a chorus when I wrote the song. I came up with a chorus while recording it. I didn't like the chorus though so I had to completely re record the song with a new chorus, which is the one that ended up on the record. The chipmunk voices were a spur of the moment idea I didn't really gave much thought to, and it worked out. The first and second version of the song are exactly the same except the first version had better whistling and a shittier chorus and a shittier ending.
Some of the dances mentioned in the beginning of the song are not real dances. The song was written on Febuary 9th of 2000, and I think recorded not much later.
