When writing this song, I wated to wriute a song that Frank Sinatra could sing. I always had Sinatra's voice in my head while writing it. When I recorded it I found it very hard. I origionaly had my friend Jake from down the hall who played upright bass lay down a bass line over the drum track. It didn't work out though and i spent a long time working on it trying to get it to sound good. I completly re-recorded everything but the drums. I was about to give up when I borrowed a guitar from some kid named eric and layed down 2 tracks. After the 2nd guitar track had been laid, I felt the song had been saved. I had completely forgotten I had jake take a solo, and didn't erase it when I went back to record again. The solo is of jake bowing his upright bass. When mixing down, it came out of no where but worked perfectly, so I left it on.
Not a bad tune, and often over looked, i do find the piece amusing. Jake's room mate, Casey, said that this was my most most musical piece. I really haven't done this live yet I don't think.
yo, yo, yo.
